Bad news for Louis Tomlinson fans  – alongside the shame that comes with paying money to see arguably the least-intriguing former One Direction member in concert, golf-ball-sized hail has emerged as yet another active threat to what may be the world’s cringiest fandom.

On Wednesday, June 21, several concertgoers were met with a less-than-pleasant surprise as severe hail pelted the open-air Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver, Colorado, fans sustaining welts, bruises, and other inquiries as the show was delayed twice and ultimately postponed, per local Fox affiliate KDVR.

@nytimes Videos shared on social media showed people getting pelted by rivulets of ice and water pouring from sky during a Louis Tomlinson concert at the outdoor Red Rocks Amphitheater. Some concertgoers used cardboard boxes on their heads as protection. Dozens of people were injured, and at least seven were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. #redrocks #louistomlinson ♬ original sound - The New York Times

@thenotoriouspuc Still in shock writing this but craziest weather I have ever experienced in my life. A freak hailstorm and flash flood hit Red Rocks tonight with golf ball sized hail while I was photographing the Louis Tomlinson show. For those of you asking, I am ok as I was able to find a small bit of coverage while it occurred, but a lot of people and many cars are not (the picture is of the car next to mine). A HUGE shoutout needs to go the security staff and medical teams at Red Rocks who were helping the injured as well as helping the fans be as safe as possible. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre team thank you so much for all of your help! ❤️ #livemusic #extremeweather #redrocks #redrocksampitheater #louistomlinson #onedirection ♬ original sound - Nikolai Puc'

“This was the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me,” TikTok creator @christinashouts wrote atop footage of the snowy show. “I honestly didn’t know how we were going to get out alive. After the hail stopped we helped a few teenage [sic] girls who were having panic attacks after being separated from their groups.”

@christinashouts Massive hail and flooding tonight, forcing Louis to cancel his show. So scary #louistomlinson #redrocks #fyp #hailstorm #TOMMO #ltwt #louis #bucketlist #louis ♬ original sound - Christina

Yet scattered teens were seemingly among the least pressing concerns of the evening. Seven people were hospitalized for injuries ranging from broken bones to gashes, with up to 90 others suffering lesser injuries, per the outlet.

We can only hope that fans were led in one direction toward a refund … and possibly some free therapy.
